Wear Makeup to the Gym

Wearing makeup to the gym, I’m surprised that this is an issue.  I guess I don’t go to those gyms where style matters.  I roll out of bed, gather my hand me down workout clothes I appropriated when my son grew out of them, pull my hair into a ponytail and go.  If I put much more thought into it I probably won’t get there.

I honestly have to applaud you girls that take the time and effort to wearing the right workout clothes, fix the hair and makeup, that takes a lot of time and energy. I have neither.

Clearly you’re doing it for yourselves and all the other girls at the Barre class.  I did feel a little underdressed there, that’s why I never went back.  But if you’re going to the gym where there is some serious sweating going on I would be afraid of looking like the Joker after about 10 minutes of spin class.  That’s not a good look for anyone.

Wear makeup to the gym, don’t wear makeup to the gym.  That’s up to you.  But here’s something you need to make sure you do either way.

Alway wash your face after working out, you’ve sweated, your pores are clogged, use a gentle cleanser to get rid of the oils and debris.  Sanitas Therapeutic Cleansing Pads are great if you don’t have time to shower.

Go with a light tint or a moisturizer with a tint, and a water resistant mascara.  Remember, less is more.
